As a Mechanical Engineer, your work will include metal fabrication, pipe and component fitting, machining, and working with electronics and control systems. You will shape steel and other materials using drills, lathes, grinders and milling machines. You will use hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments to manufacture, assemble, fit and repair parts and machinery.
As a Technician, you may be involved in the production of relevant drawings, supervising the construction of precise components and management of complex production systems. You might also modify equipment and test the properties of various metals, alloys and plastics to improve production and tooling methods.
As an Engineer, you will primarily be concerned with design engineering, drafting, systems controls and instrumentation, technical sales, production planning, industrial training or engineering management.
